Catering:
Firstly, we have succeeded in renewing the contract with CK without any price increase. Kudos to our President!
Secondly, we have reached an agreement with the German school to exercise closer control over what is offered by CK. In order to achieve this, we are seeking volunteers to join a small task force comprising parents from both the French and German schools. This group will supervise CK menus and strive to enhance the offerings. We have named the group FIG: Food Improvement Group. Initially, we considered IMF, but settled for FIG as the former was already taken ;-).
Some ideas that have already been discussed include:
Ensuring there is always something that appeals to children
Increasing the frequency of fish offerings per week
Reducing portion sizes to minimize waste
But we need many more and constant monitoring! Please send us an email if you wish to join and contribute! We don’t need a plethora of volunteers, just 1 or 2 individuals willing to assist (and with good taste :-))
Winter day care:
Another reminder we would like to convey is that our Winter Daycare applications are now open in Services+. We will be providing an array of activities and workshops during the upcoming holidays to keep the children entertained, engaged, and inquisitive. Our theme for this season will be “En attendant le printemps” and we have already prepared numerous workshops, including:
Building bird feeders
Constructing insect houses
Crafting traditional Bulgarian spring bracelets
Gardening
Spring-themed theater exercises
Weather permitting, there will also be outdoor playtime. :)

Monday, February 12, 2024: Illusionist Magic Leon will be coming to our school in the morning to present his magic tricks to the students of the French and German preschool classes.
Monday, February 12: AEFE Henri Poincaré Math Competition for our 5th, 6th, and CM2 (8:00 am - 9:30 am) with Mr. Blandin and Mr. Crosnier. The final will take place in Athens.

Wednesday, February 14, at 1:30 pm: Meeting to prepare for the end-of-year festivities "Summer Festival" for the parents of the events committee and volunteers, along with our German partners.
Thursday, February 15, at 3:45 pm: School council meeting (in the 5th-grade classroom) for elementary school teachers and parent representatives from preschool and primary classes.
